Mohamad Taisir Albik, DDS
Dr. Mohamad Albik graduated from the Aleppo School of Dental Medicine with the highest honors in his class for oral surgery and mouth disease treatment. He went on to study at Tufts and completed his education at the University of Houston, and attended Loma Linda University for dental implant training in 2012
In 2015, he was made an Associate Fellow with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and was named a Diplomate for both the International Academy of Dental Implants in San Diego and the American Board of Implantology.
He loves interacting with his patients and creating lasting relationships with the families he treats.
Dr. Albik is always seeking ways to give back. This is why he volunteers with the International Academy of Dental Implantology’s Share to Care Smile Program. This program allows him to travel to Mexico to help victims of violence restore their smiles.
When Dr. Albik is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three adorable children. He also loves hiking, biking, or cooling off in a raft during the summer months and skiing in the winter.
Dr. Denton Sato, DDS
Dr. Sato attended UCLA, receiving a Bachelor of Science in psychobiology and a Bachelor of Arts in economics. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific.
Dr. Sato became a dentist because he wanted to improve people's lives by improving their oral health. He has worked in Sacramento and Elk Grove since 2013 and started at Laguna Springs Dental early in 2023. Some of the things he enjoys most about working in dentistry are restoring smiles, and the relief patients experience when we get them out of pain.
In his free time, Dr. Sato enjoys traveling with his wife, and they visit her home country of Japan at least once a year. One fun fact people might not know about him is that his favorite TV show is Scrubs.
Haidee
Registered Dental Hygienist
Haidee’s responsibilities as a hygienist are to screen patients for medical and oral health conditions, take x-rays, remove plaque and calculus buildup on surfaces of the teeth, apply sealants, fluoride treatments, and educate patients about oral health.
Haidee attended Sacramento City College and has worked in the dental field since 2003. She joined Laguna Springs Dental in 2018. Haidee entered the dental field because most of her family is in the medical field, and she wanted to break that mold. So far, it has been a great journey!
She is thrilled to have found an amazing team committed to prioritizing the patient’s needs while always providing outstanding care. Haidee’s favorite thing about her job is interacting with so many wonderful patients and the relationships she builds with them.
Her favorite activities outside of dentistry are doing arts and crafts with her daughter, watching football, doing DIY home projects, and working on her green thumb. Haidee’s fun fact that people might now know about her is that she loves to dance.

Nhu
Registered Dental Assistant Expanded Functions
Nhu attended Sacramento City College for her assistant training. She has worked in the dental field since 2007 and started with Laguna Springs Dental in 2021. Nhu became interested in the field because she wanted a healthy smile to last a lifetime and knew that working in dentistry would help her achieve her goal.
Nhu's responsibilities include placing permanent restorations, including fillings, crowns, and bridges. She feels very proud and happy when a patient acknowledges that they appreciate her and her teammates' work.
In addition to spending time with family and friends, Nhu's favorite activities are reading and cooking. One fun fact people might not know about her is that she talks non-stop when she's excited!
Roma
Lead Registered Dental Assistant
Roma has been in dentistry for over two decades. As the Lead RDA of the Laguna Springs Dental team, she enjoys and looks forward to providing an excellent and caring dental experience for our current and future patients.
In addition to her passion for all aspects of dentistry, Roma’s pastimes include venturing outdoors, visiting different restaurants, and spending as much quality family time as possible with her tribe of five.
Mercedes
Dental Assistant
Mercedes started her journey as an intern at Laguna Springs Dental and has been here since 2019. She became interested in dentistry because she wanted to be part of something where she could care for others—especially those who experienced past dental trauma or anxiety, as she once did. She finds it very rewarding to help those who have had similar experiences.
Mercedes received education and training at ATS school, graduating in 2019. Her primary responsibilities are to assist the doctor and provide quality care for our patients to help them have positive experiences. She enjoys educating patients on sustaining overall health to help them achieve confident smiles.
Laguna Springs Dental is a second family to Mercedes, and working in an environment that feels like home brings her warmth and joy. Building relationships with my team and getting to know patients are, by far, her favorite parts of the day.
Outside of dentistry, Mercedes enjoys traveling, eating good food, and watching movies. Her unique hobby is photography, and she finds beauty in capturing a moment before it’s gone. She also enjoys taking memorable photos and using her artistic ability and creativity to edit them. Mercedes's fun fact is that she asked her brother to go with her to buy a car; little did he know, they were actually going skydiving for his birthday!
Sandra
Office Manager
Sandra joined the dental field in 2000 and has been with Laguna Springs Dental since 2021. As our office manager, one of her most important responsibilities is ensuring the delivery of quality dental care to our patients.
This includes responding efficiently to patients’ and doctors’ needs, managing patient scheduling, and presenting treatment plans. She oversees dental claims processing and coordinates with insurance companies to ensure your claims are paid.
Sandra is passionate about helping our patients and committed to positively impacting their lives through dentistry. One of her favorite things about working with patients is making them smile.
In her free time, Sandra enjoys crafting with her daughter, cooking, and traveling.
Annie
Patient Coordinator
Annie has worked in dentistry since 2018 and joined Laguna Springs Dental in 2022. She became proficient in her job by handling dental billing for three years and with hands-on training as a patient coordinator. Her duties include answering phone calls, verifying eligibility, creating treatment plans, and providing estimates.
Annie’s favorite thing about working with patients is being able to help them and their satisfaction and relief when we’ve addressed their dental concerns. She loves working with the team to create an environment that is like a second home within our office.
In her free time, Annie loves writing and enjoying the beautiful scenery outdoors. She says the fun fact people might not know about her is that she is a huge character in a small body.
Coti
Billing Coordinator
Coti attended American River College for language studies and mathematics, then went to UEI Technical College, receiving her Medical Billing and Insurance Certification in 2020. She started working in dentistry with an externship as a treatment coordinator and has been with Laguna Springs Dental since 2021.
As our billing coordinator, Coti’s responsibilities include handling claims and communicating with insurance companies regarding questions or payment disputes. She is always available to our patients for questions or concerns about their insurance coverage and the status of their accounts.
Coti enjoys using her knowledge to ensure that insurance pays all it should for our patients' services so that they have the smallest out-of-pocket payment possible. She wants to be a part of clearing up communication from doctor to insurance and everything between.
In her free time, Coti plays her PS4, listens to podcasts, and spends time outdoors bicycling, hiking, and camping. She enjoys making amigurumi stuffies and traditional needlecraft, particularly European-based, and is currently looking at different lacework patterns from around the world.
